We have been
working on fall dates for the Fall 2008 season.
Here is a rough draft of the calendar we have been
working on. This gives you a rough idea what
we have planned for next fall's soccer season.
There are going to be a few changes with how
schedules are handled. Make sure you check
this website often so your club, teams or coaches
are not out of the loop.

High Score
games:
Saturday,
May 10, 2008
A few game
reports came in over the weekend and I noticed some
high scores. I want to remind all of you the WCSSF
rules for blow out games:
Scoring teams will only be given a 4 goals margin when in a win
occurs. Running up the score is considered un-sporting. If a
team has a 4 goal advantage the team is to stop the attack and
control the ball.
Teams that "run up" the score may be dropped
from the league.
Please keep
these rules in mind when you notice that the team
may be weak due to low number of players or ability.
Please keep
in mind our mission statement:
The
WCSSF is an interclub competitive league designed to provide the
Recreational Plus Player (ages 10 – 18) a competitive
experience, while focusing on equitable fair play and good
sportsmanship while providing a venue for the players to have
fun.
Reminders:
Sunday,
April 20, 2008
Teams are to
encourage their players to wear the same color of
shorts as the rest of their team members. If
your team has black shorts, then make sure all team
members have some kind of black shorts on.
Remember it's called a UNIFORM
-
Webster
defines uniform:
-
Main Entry:
-
1uni·form
1
: having
always the same form, manner, or degree
: not varying or variable
<uniform procedures>
2
: consistent
in conduct or opinion <uniform
interpretation of laws>
3
: of
the same form with others : conforming
to one rule or mode : consonant
4
: presenting
an unvaried appearance of surface, pattern, or
color (uniform
red brick houses)
Also, NO ONE
is to be on your bench unless they have a Club
pass for YOUR team. No exceptions to the
rule! This means mom & dad can't be on the
bench, siblings, children, girl friends of
players or boy friends of players, your spouse,
grandparents of the players, your grandparents,
your parents...... You get the picture.
The rules state:
Each team will be allowed 3 official IYSA Registered card
holders to serve as coaches (Coach, Assistant coach or Manager)
for a team. These will be the only Adults allowed on the bench
during a game. Anyone that is on the bench and is not a card
holder on the official roster will be asked to leave the bench
area during the game. This includes family members.
